Ciaos! I’m a passionate Hong Kong industrial designer with expertise Product Design, 3D Animate Design, Brand Design, Digital Illustrator, STEM Teacher, Programmer, Film/Cinematographic Editor (VFX) and Music Composer.

Detail

This educational product is crafted using industrial-grade FDM 3D printing technology, integrated with ESP32 computing components.

 

It serves as a e-learning tool for middle and high school students, teaching them how to create smart home systems through coding.

 

The product can be combined with multiple units to form a large-scale smart city simulation.

Learning &

Teaching Expo 2023

I participate and become a exhibitor thoshow this product in the Learning & Teaching EXPO 2023 in Hong Kong.

 

The use of industrial-grade FDM 3D printing ensures each panel and external component is meticulously measured and designed. This results in a robust and easy-to assemble product for students.

 

Additionally, it offers the feature for students to personalise their creations through painting, fostering creativity and enhancing engagement with the product.

About

  10th Animation Supporting Programme  

In collaboration with longstanding friends from my freshman year, I co-founded a studio to participate in the prestigious annual 10th Animation Support Programme by CreateHK. With our home studio setup, our team brought to life an imaginative project, backed by a generous HKD 120,000 grant from CreateHK.

Personal

As the creative force behind this project, I was responsible for the original concept, scriptwriting, animatics, storyboard, 3D modelling, character design, editing, and sound design. This multifaceted involvement not only showcased my versatility but also honed my skills in various aspects of animation production.

Project Highlights

Storyboarding:

Single-handedly created over 80 storyboard panels in just a few nights,setting a strong visual foundation for the project.

Animation Technique:

Inspired by "Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse," we innovatively blended 3D models with 2D strokes and shadows, a challenging yet rewarding first attempt at 3D animation.

Post-Production:

Mentorship:

Under the guidance of acclaimed directors Mr. Yuan Jian Tao and Mr. Lu Ziying, we re-envisioned our narrative to focus on a 1980s Japanese robot toy enthusiast embarking on an adventurous quest.

Skills Development:

Enrolled in animation courses to enhance our skills in dynamic drawing and lighting, further enriching the project's quality.

Leveraged After Effects to add finishing touches, enhancing the animation's visual appeal.
